Nevertheless

The LORD directs the steps of the godly.

He delights in every detail of their lives

Though they stumble they will never fall

Though they grow weary, they will never lose strength

Though they face fear, they will never be overtaken

Though they experience heartbreak, they will never be without love

Though, at times, they feel desolate, they are never alone.

Though they may not see the way to go, they will never be lost.

Though it may seem dark, they will never be void of Light

For though they may shed tears, Christ shed His Blood

And though they will always fall short,

Mercy will redeem them of their iniquities.

Despite their darkness, 

their fear, 

their broken hearts and their pain, 

despite their blindness and imperfection,

 despite their clumsy feet, 

their timid hearts,

 their finite ways, 

they will never fall,

For the LORD holds them by the hand.
